Most machine quilters charge by the size of the quilt top combined with the style of quilting requested. The various styles of quilting are charged at different rates.
My charges are $2.75 to $4.50 per square foot.
You can calculate in square feet the area of your quilt top by accurately measuring in inches the length and width of the top, multiplying the measurements together, then dividing by 144.
An example of the cost of a fifty square foot quilt at $2.75 per square foot would be
50 x $2.75 = $137.50.
